Clarendon QB Gribble out for season

Clarendon not only lost for the first time this season last Friday at Sunray, but lost quarterback Nathan Gribble for the remainder of the season. The senior suffered a broken leg in the first quarter. He underwent surgery over the weekend according to Broncos head coach Gary Jack and will be sidelined for the rest of the season. ''It's a shame for Nathan,'' said Jack, ''because he was a senior and three-year starter for us.'' Jack said that Johnny Gaines will take over at quarterback as the Broncos attempt to make the playoffs for the second year in a row. Their District 4-1A opener will be on Oct. 10 at home against Shamrock.
