Heat is on Buffs and Javs

While it's cooling off in some parts of the country and the leaves already are starting to turn, West Texas A&M is headed south, where it'll be almost 90 degrees and palm trees will be swaying in the gulf freeze for Saturday's game against Texas A&M-Kingsville. While WT has posted wins of 20 points and 33 points the past two games vs. the Javelinas, this meeting figures to be much closer because Kingsville has improved both on offense and defense. Both teams like to play fast, which will test their conditioning. In their two close games this season, WT has been the stronger fourth quarter team vs. Mesa State and Southwestern Oklahoma. It may come to that vs. Kingsville. And whereas the Javs scored just a field goal last year, who can knock through a 3-pointer this time may determine the winner.
