The Rock is rollin'

It's interesting how far the Caprock football team has come in a year. Last season the Longhorns could only scratch out one win, and had trouble sustaining any sort of rythm on offense or defense. This season, coach Seth Parr has his team playing with passion and heart and the defense has gotten the job done more often than not. After watching the Longhorns drop Levelland 35-18 Friday night, the thing that's impressed me the most if the offensive play of the Horns. Quarterback Ckyler Artis, known in the sports room as the hefty lefty, has had a stellar senior season so far, which continued with three touchdown tosses against the Lobos. Artis may not have the most beatiful passes and the world, but his receivers do a great job of helping him out. Twice on Friday, Efran Acosta cut his route short and came back to an underthrown pass and out-jumped the defender to make the catch. The point is that Caprock is doing a great job of playing as a team, and more importantly, winning as a team.
