WTAMU soccer 1, WTAMU football 0

At Tuesday's Buffalo Sports Lunch, Omar Morales, the graduate assistant coach for West Texas A&M's soccer teams, joked that soccer outperformed football on the opening weekend of fall sports. He's right.
The Lady Buffs won twice by combined scores of 20-1, including a 17-0 shutout of College of the Southwest. Which wasn't a team scoring record, BTW.
The Buffs won their soccer opener, 7-0.
That's 27 goals.
WT won its football opener 23-20. When is he last time WT soccer outscored WT football? Been a while.
For the record, WT went 9-0 last weekend, adding five volleyball wins.
