List of unbeatens has dwindled to five

As the high school football season heads into its home stretch there are still five Panhandle-area teams still unbeaten. They are Bushland, Panhandle and Muleshoe in Class 2A and Wellington and Wheeler in 1A. One of them will go down this week as Panhandle is at Bushland. Wheeler is an underdog against Clarendon this week. Muleshoe and Bushland look like the best bets right now to finish the season unbeaten and unless River Road makes the playoffs out of District 1-2A the Mules and Falcons would meet in the bidistrict game in Division I the second week of November.
