What Buffs must do to win

One day away. The highly anticipated meeting of West Texas A&M and Abilene Christian is Saturday, and fans already are making plans to be at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium in Canyon. WT has won three of the past games with ACU, but none carried the weight of this year's game between a pair of top-5 teams. Here are five things the Buffs must do to defeat the best Wildcats team in 30 years: 1. Make good on defensive opportunities. Don't drop interceptions, don't give ACU a first down on third down because of a penalty. 2. Don't let ACU RB Bernard Scott run wild. A big game by Scott will make it harder to defend the pass. 3. Get a big game from Wayne McKnight. McKnight is capable to energizing the Buffs at RB, in place of injured Keithon Flemming, and with kickoff returns. 4. Lulls on offense or defense only give ACU more chances to score. 5. Feed off the crowd. Kimbrough will be full; use that energy and noise to full advantage.
