Follett D decisive in win over Meadow

West Texas A&M defensive coaches are in a recruiting mode.
Maybe they should drive northeast to Follett.
Meadow hung 97 points on Valley in a second-round Six-Man playoff win. That didn't bode well from Follett, which was tasked with stopping junior RB Rico Rocha. Rocha had 425 yards and scored nine touchdowns against a good Valley team.
But the Panthers were up to the challenge. Rocha gained 115 yards and escaped just once for a long touchdown. Bottling up Rocha was key in Follett's 44-39 victory that puts the Panthers in the Division I semifinals.
Meadow scored 58 points fewer against Follett. Meanwhile, the Panthers, on a cool, damp evening scored just 10 fewer than they did in beating Ropes the week before.
Kudos to the Follett defense for meeting a challenge.
