Are you ready?

That's just about the only question left to answer now that all our teams have begun preseason workouts.

The Globe-News sports staff has been going out to all the schools to shoot pictures and visit with coaches, and the excitement is hard to match. A lot of the smaller schools have had great turnouts, including a crazy-high 80 guys show up for practices at River Road.

But one thing's for sure -- it's August. So, we'll ask it again.
