It's Been A Month

Thursday marked the one-month anniversary of my employment at the Globe-News and Sunday I will have completed my first full month as an official Amarillo resident. Somehow, it doesn't seem like it's been that long.

Which isn't to say that a lot hasn't happened. I witnessed an epic come from behind victory by Borger over Caprock (which would otherwise be undefeated), a thrilling crosstown rivalry game between Amarillo High and Tascosa and the two best quarterbacks in District 2-5A (Tascosa's Dalton Brooks and Odessa High's Derrick Teegarden) square off.

This Friday I'm looking forward to seeing Hereford play for the first time as the Herd plays Randall at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium. Parker Bridwell has already thrown for over 1,000 yards in four games and leads a remarkably balanced offense.

It's been an interesting first month. The next two should be just as fun.
