October Already?

Time seems like it's flown, although that's a cliche I generally dislike. But it is officially fall now and time to start taking football season seriously. With the calendar turning, it signals that the warm weather we're currently enjoying (along with the open week most Panhandle teams have) will soon disappear.

And the fact that we'll need to whip out the jackets and sweaters soon is the best news of all for football fans. It means that everybody will start district play and that all the games will count for something. The colder you get during a game, the more successful a season it means your favorite team is having.

So enough of these mid-80 degree days! It's October now, and it's time to cool off so the playoff races can heat up.
