Sunray's Wilson nearing 4,000 rushing yards

Sunray's Colton Wilson needs about 181 yards rushing to reach the 4,000 mark for his career.
He began the season with 3,532 rushing yards and has added 287 to reach 3,819.
I've been at the Globe-News since 1968 and I don't ever remember a running back in the Panhandle area that reached the 4,000 mark for his career. I say that, but I'm certainly not 100 percent because as I get older my memory becomes shorter. I guess it comes with the territory.
If anyone out there knows of any running backs with more than 4,000 rushing yards and can document it let me know.
Wilson, with a great final season, could actually reach the 5,000 yard mark.

I might be wrong but I think Cornell Jones (graduated from Borger in 1996) reached that mark.
