Borger coaches, players deserve plenty of credit for great turnaround

Talk about a turnaround.
Borger gets my vote this year. The Bulldogs were 1-9 two years ago and 2-8 last year.
Following Friday's 27-26 win over Perryton, they now are 6-2 and have secured a playoff berth for the first time since 2005.
Head coach Rusty Purser and his staff deserve a world of credit for what has happened this season.
But it's not just the coaches. Give the players most of it because it's those guys that go out every Friday and get the job done. It takes a combination of things to happen in a community when a turnaround such as this happens.
So, stand up Borger coaches, players and fans and give yourselves a huge pat on the back for a job well done.
