Some interesting playoff matchups

There are a handful of interesting first-round playoff matchups this week.
One of them is Nazareth vs. Clarendon in Class 1A Division II. It's a game that looks like either team could win. Nazareth started slow at 1-4, but won all five district games. Clarendon started fast, but lost three games to finish 7-3. The Broncos were slowed by some injuries late in the season.
The winner will meet Stratford in week two.
Wellington's opening opponent is Bovina on Thursday at Kimbrough Stadium. The Skyrockets have been impressive all season going 9-0, led by QB Westin Williams. They come into the game averaging 10 yards per play on offense.
Bovina, with Desmond Fox running the ball, is strong in that area and could give Wellington some trouble if they play well.
The winner will meet Canadian in week two.
And how about Bushland meeting Floydada in a rematch of a game the Falcons won 55-0 earlier. Or, what about Wheeler taking on White Deer in another rematch that that Mustangs won 42-6.
It should be interesting over the next month to say the least.
