Who will the Heisman? I want your opinion

I am fortunate to be one of the 926 voters in the 2009 Heisman race. Votes are due Monday evening. I am ballot number 488.

Of course, I have my favorites in mind like Texas quarterback Colt McCoy, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow and Stanford running back Toby Gerhart. I like Houston QB Case Keenum. What about going defense with Nebraska lineman Ndamukong Suh? He's impressive every game and faces all kinds of double teams.

But you have to admit, nobody has just flat out dominated all year. So I will wait until the games are over Saturday before casting my vote. (By the way, this is the first year the voting will all be done entirely electronically and they frown on not keeping your vote confidential).

I'd love to read your opinion on what I consider the most prestigious award in all of college athletics. I tossed out the question in my thumbs up and thumbs down piece in the paper and have received some wonderful insight from people like Tommy Cathey, Austin Weaver from Canyon and loved the phone call from Ora Mary Sims (she didn't have a computer) supporting Colt McCoy.

Please leave me your comment on who will win this year's Heisman.

You certainly have my ear on this one.

It's sad that McCoy is getting played up to be Heisman worthy. His play was pretty bad the first half of the season and his team won in spite of him. He had a "monster" game against an A & M team a bad OU team put 65 points on the week before!!! Give me a break!!! Just because the ESPN talking heads say he took a step towards the Heisman in that game- doesn't make it so!!! He may win it by default because no one has really set themselves apart this year!!! I say Vote - No One Worthy!!!!
