A classic battle of cattle

The Caprock at Hereford game Friday is perhaps the most meaningful between these teams since 1973 they met in a bidistrict game at Dick Bivins Stadium.

While Hereford has reached postseason play many times since then, Caprock has done so just once and that came in 1975.

That meeting between the teams in 1973 ended in a 13-7 Hereford victory that was sparked by running back James Harris who rushed for more than 200 yards.

I wonder how many people remember who the Caprock quarterback was back then?

If you said David Ream, you'd be correct.
