Dalhart headed for 10-0 regular season

Dalhart improved to 8-0 with an impressive 41-10 road win at Perryton Friday and heading into its home meeting this week against Borger sure appears to be the team to beat in District 1-3A.

This year's team is now two wins from posting a 10-0 regular season record for the first time since 1963, and if it continues playing the way it has so far it's kind of hard to imagine the Wolves not doing it.

Borger, however, should pose a solid threat to pull off an upset despite a 3-4 season record that easily could be better. The Bulldogs, like the Wolves, like to run the ball and do it well with Shavoyiea Clement and Ty Brown.

This one should be a knock-down-drag-out from start to finish.

The Bulldogs defense won't even allow them to score.
